Downloading is awesome especially if it is for your Nintendo Wii. If you are a gamer and you want to experience the best you should be downloading only the best from Wii. Of course, who doesn’t want to experience playing Wii top games, right?

As featured in GamePro.com, here are the top 5 Wii games. This list is decided upon looking at Wii’s library that goes back since its launch. Older games are still dominant, but there are new ones slowly climbing up into the list. Sit back, relax, and hit the jump to see where your favorite game stands.

Wii top games #5. Dead Space Extraction

This Wii top game revives the rail-shooter genre from death in the most exciting but horrifying fashion. Extraction is a prequel to the smash-hit Dead Space and it tells you the story of the triggered events of the main game by the unfortunate colonists. It is formerly Wii exclusive but now it is also available for PlayStation Move. Dead Space is great but it is a pretty violent and scary Wii game.

Wii top games #4. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

It is no surprise that this is included in Wii top games. Many gamers consider it a great game when it was first released on GameCube and PlayStation 2 in 2005. The addition of motion control to the previous game is a great mix. Targeting gets crisper and you will feel the real action. This Wii version has extra contents coming from the PS2 version which isn’t included in GameCube.

Wii top games #3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a surprising game to be included in Wii top games because of its theme. Most of the icons in this game are cute, kid-friendly characters, and are engaged in a battle to save the universe. Normally, this is the stuff of fan fiction but Nintendo Wii did a good job of making it a great game. It is the follow-up of the enormously successful Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Wii top games #2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This game is originally pegged as a GameCube release but Nintendo made an excellent job of going back to the drawing board and improving the visuals as well as the Wii remote functionality. Nintendo shows the strength of their franchise of the Twilight Princess by working on the mechanics of Zelda with or without motion and this Wii version is definitely better than GameCube’s. Wii took a potentially great game and added the layer of complexity it lacks, thus making Link’s epic adventure better than before. It has amazing graphics, clever level designs and even greater dose of action.

Wii top games #1. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Well, this will not come as a surprise really. This may be visually similar to its predecessor, but Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a different title, structure, content and even gameplay. The formula is practically similar but this time, you find Mario manipulating gravity. He can jump enough to break an orbit but in other cases, the gravitational pull from the planets will let you solve tricky puzzles. It is indeed a worthy sequel to the previous Mario Wii game.

Do you own a Nintendo Wii console and are wondering how on earth to make copies of your games so you have a backup in case the original breaks, gets lost or gets damaged? Here I will inform you how to save your Wii games to avoid future stress.

If you are familiar with burning cd’s and the like then you have a little experience of the process before but be aware that you need aditional software and knowledge when backing up Wii games. It’s not just a case of ripping a cd and inserting a blank to re-write to. Because of the security and copyright protection that the game developers place on their games it becomes a little harder to perform the required tasks. Software available on the net for free will help you bypass this security so you can create a backup. You should not use these methods to create games to distribute, that is an illegal activity and this site does on no way condone it.

The process.

In simple steps you need to do the following;

Have your original Wii game to hand
Have a blank cd to make to back up onto
A DVD burner installed on your PC. Note DVD and CD burner is required
Copying software

That’s the basic formula you need to know and that is where we leave this post for now. Please check back for the next stage on how to back up your Wii games.

On Wednesday 7th I attended the Ubisoft Summer Festival, held in Sloane Square, London. The setup was the same as what was on show at the E3 conference earlier this year on the 15th June on Los Angeles. I took along fellow web assistant and, friend and gamer Charles Spinney. During this post we will report on what we saw and played on. It was exciting stuff…

After eventually finding the venue in Chelsea we found the entrance to the marquee only to be greeted by two of the organiser who after checking our names and getting us to sign a confidentiality agreement for a game allowed us to enter into the main arena.

The first stand we came across was the Just Dance 2 game by Ubisoft and the assistance made sure we took the controls and put on a performance. After pleasing the crowd and whooping Charlies ass I took 5 to ask a few details about the game. As we already know, it was confirmed the game will be released in October of this year. Although we only had a choice of seven tracks to choose from whilst playing the demo, the real game will consist of 42 tracks including great classics such as James Brown “I feel good”. Players will be able to play solo, in pairs, as a four or even as an eight. It promises to bring hours of entertainment and is definitely not going to let down the reputation the first Just Dance game has built up.

Next we were over to Shaun Whites Skateboarding, which was being shown on both Wii and for the PS3, with the Wii having a playable demo and the PS3 being able to view an assistant playing whilst answering questions. My first impressions of the game was wow. Putting on the 3D specs to view the PS3 version was an experience of joy and you soon forgot you were wearing the glasses which did make us look a bit stupid. The game on the whole is just another skateboarding fling althouh it does have a twist. You start playing without colour and the more tricks you make the more colour that gets injected into the game. Grind rails can be customised in terms of direction as you go along, meaning you make the grind and use the controller to take any direction you choose. This make roof tops and secret areas accessible and if you decide the rails not in the right place then simply delete the position and re make the grind to create a new path. Jump ramps can also activated which otherwise lay dormant.

Moving round to the Wii for a go on the game was the next stop, however you could instantly see that it was not of the same caliber in my opinion. For starters there was no 3D effects which we were not expecting, but the whole graphic look was different which I did not prefer to the PS3 version. The skater and surrounding landscape were only what can be described as cartoon like, where as the PS3 was more life like, this doesn’t tae away from the enjoyment the game provides if skate boarding games are your cup of tea. I engaged in a brief chat with the brand manager for the game, Jan Sanghera, who confirmed the games release as 1st October 2010.

There was not much else going on in terms of the Wii but Ubisoft were exhibiting PS3 and XBox material we did make use of. Charlie and I experienced the new Move controllers from Sony whilst playing Racket Sports which is the answer to the Wii Remote and corresponding game Wii Racket Sports Party. Personally it just felt like something they have bought out to compete with the Nintendo rather than a unique gadget, which is fine, sometimes this has to be. The Kinect on the other hand was very impressive, before playing I really didn’t expect that it was going to be much cop but in a nut shell it did every thing you would expect and more, but we are not here to talk Sony so thats enough. I just look forward to Nintendos answer to this.

The only thing I have not mentioned yet is the Michael Jackson Dance game hoping to be released this November / December time. I don’t currently have any information about this but as and when I do there will be a post.

Thanks for reading.

UBISOFT® ANNOUNCES JUST DANCE® 2

Anticipated Sequel Debuts On October 15, 2010

LOS ANGELES, E3 – June 15, 2010 – Today Ubisoft® announced it will launch Just Dance® 2 exclusively for the Wii™ on October 15, 2010 . After the tremendous worldwide success of the first installment, which has sold more than three million units to date,
Just Dance returns with a brand new track-list of more than 40 popular songs, improved movement detection and hot new features to challenge friends and family. Just Dance 2 is immediate fun, eliminating inhibitions and bringing all generations together through the universal passion for dancing.

Just Dance 2 will feature tracks from classic hits and legendary songs to today’s chart-toppers. Players will enjoy dancing to a wide selection of musical genres, including Pop, Country, R&B, Disco, Funk, Rock etc. Each track features its own choreography and dance enthusiasts will be moving for hours on end. From Rihanna’s SOS to Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff, from I Got You (I Feel Good) by James Brown to When I Grow Up by the Pussycat Dolls, Just Dance players will come across songs and routines that will make them want to move their feet. And if they still want more, they will be able to download tracks from an expanding catalogue of new hits.

Just Dance 2 also boasts new environments, new modes and more importantly new moves … It takes the experience one step further with enhanced multiplayer options and new hilarious game modes. Players will now be able to create their own team and engage in dance-off contests with up to 8 players. In the Duet Mode, each player will follow a different choreography mixing dance steps and poses that will respond to the choreography of the other. And before engaging in dance battles and co-op challenges, players will take advantage of solo play to improve their performance. An added benefit is the new Just Sweat mode where players will keep their eyes on the Sweat Meter as their calorie counter shows them how much work they’ve put in.

The Classic Mode remains the core entry point to Just Dance 2 featuring fun and simple menus and giving access to all songs from the start – this is the perfect mode for an immediate dive into a non-stop dance-a-thon. And for those who are too shy to dance but love to sing, all tracks are accompanied by on-screen song lyrics. So even if they don’t score points with their voice, they’re sure to score some with the crowd… well, maybe.

The game will be previewed for press at E3 in Los Angeles, from June 15 to June 17, on the Nintendo booth as well as on the Ubisoft stage, revealing tracks such as:

• James Brown – I Got You (I Feel Good)
• Pussycat Dolls – When I Grow Up
• Ike & Tina Turner – Proud Mary
• Donna Summer – Hot Stuff
• Vampire Weekend – A Punk
• Digitalism – Idealistic
• Snap! – The Power
• Rihanna – S.O.S.

In this breif article I will explain how you might go about backing up your Wii games. The only reason you should be backing up,and making copies of you games are because you want to keep the originals safe incase they get lost and damaged which may make them unreadable to your Wii console and and un playable. I must state that you should not be burning Wii Games to then sell on for profit or ven give away for free. This is breaking the law.

So you want to burn your Wii games but are not sure how to go about it?

First you need to consider the tools for the job. These are pretty basic and the only thing you need to spend any money on is a some kind of software that will decrypt the protection Nintendo have put on all games to prevent piracy. Software such as Easy Backup Wizard (at the time of writting have 50% off – link at the end of the article) will do the job fine and will crack any console game not just games for the Wii. I will assume that you already have a dvd writter and blank discs available to burn the games on to. Therefore the software is your only out lay and really an be seen as more of an investment. (Plus, it will also backup movies.)

So it’s really just a case of loading up the Easy Backup Wizard software, following the instructions which will tell you when to insert your Wii game, followed by the blank dvd to copy it to. The result is a perfect backed up version of your original game. You should now be able to play from your duplicate version and keep the original safe until you need to make a new copy.

More information about Easy Backup Wizard.
