Last week me and a couple of friends were walking  around the local shopping center and on-route we passed a second hand shop, sat in the window was a Nintendo Wii, black limited edition version.  I had to drop in a inquire about the price and look at the condition.  As I approached this little beauty I could see a price tag dangling from the box,  you wont believe it, as I didn’t.  £20.  It had to be faulty, but I wasn’t going to hang around and ask to many questions in-case they realized the price should be some what higher, even for a second hand shop.   After promptly paying and leaving with grin like a Cheshire cat I went straight home to plug it in.

Half an hour later and I was home, Nintendo in hand and heading straight for the lounge to plug it in and play.  5 minutes later we are set ready to boot up, I hit the button and everything is working, I had just bagged a Limited edition Nintendo Black Wii for £20 and couldn’t believe my luck.  Only a couple of minor scratches, admittedly it didn’t come with any games so I used one from my other Wii but who’s complaining, I will definitely be making a profit on this little beast.

Keep your eyes peeled guys, either this shop didn’t know the value of the console or they had priced it incorrectly, either way there are still bargains out there.

Wii Fit

Wii Fit is an game designed to allow users to keep fit and healthy by performing various different activities.

It will let you store up to eight different users at any one time so you can easily make this a group event and each participate in making them selves fitter and healthier.
The activities include Yoga, Balance Games, Muscles Exercises and Aerobic Workouts.

Wii Sports

Wii Sports is one of the most popular games people tend to buy in a Wii Bundle. It is very entertaining and involves multi player interactivity to create a great atmosphere. There has just been a newer version of this game released called Wii Sports Resorts and allows the user to play in different settings and in different locations whilst doing a new array of sports. Another fitness game which proves so popular and a real hit for Nintendo. The Wii Remote is used to control your Mii character and make the moves required to complete the stages through out the game. With the newer game a new device has been developed called the Motion Plus. This small plug-in for the Wii Remote makes the game even more interactive by making every movement the player does even more sensitive to reactions.

Mario Kart

A massive game which is so much fun when you play online in comps against others from around the world.  That is the power of this technology which is so exciting and entertaining.  Mario Kart has been around for some time and was released in it’s original state on the Super Nintendo (SNES).  The game has been upgraded since then and with new courses and characters is one of the most popular Nintendo games, period.

Wii Play

Wii Play is a simple game which provides the gamer with 9 different games in one.  It gives you a introduction to the Wii Remote and reminds me of the days we had Duck hunt on the original Nintendo.  Maybe thats where the inspiration came from?  Another game which you can play for hours on end and great for playing among friends using the 2 player option.  When you buy the game brand new you will get a free Wii Remote with it.

It started on 3rd July and is named after the Japanese Hanabi festival which takes place in the summer is is typically known for it’s fireworks.  Nintendo use this festival to celebrate the retro games played on the Wii and there is something for everyone.

The cult Japanese platformer Pulseman (SEGA MEGA DRIVE) and strategy classic Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (Super Nintendo) were released on 3rd July and more games will be released through out July.  These include :

If your unsure about how to do this then follow this quick and easy guide below.

1. Make sure your Wii is connected to the Internet and go to the Nintendo Channel. If you don’t have the Nintendo Channel yet you can download it for free from the Wii Shop Channel.
2. Click on the “Find Titles for You” link and then select the “DS Download Service” option.
3. You’ll see a list of currently available demos from which you can for example select the Ninjatown demo.
4. Now turn the power ON on your Nintendo DS and select the option “DS Download Play” from the menu.
5. Once your Nintendo DS has connected to your Wii console, you just need to accept the software download and you’re ready to play!

Nintendo only allow demos to be available for a limited time and will update them regularly with new games for you to try.
