Nowadays, families all over the world try to explore more exciting video games to satisfy their wants and desires, especially of their children. It is a natural reaction of people to easily get fed up with games that they are playing every day, and that is the reason on why you should be playing on a Nintendo Wii console or if you’re not get yourself an upgrade to one. The Nintendo Wii console is still the best and quickest selling console of its generation even after two years after its release.

Nintendo Wii’s success lies between their passion on satisfying not only children but also the adults, thus their target is the universal market. Nintendo’s high reputation for producing extremely fun and exciting home-based video games that encompasses almost all facets of entertainment has been transferred from previous hugely successful Nintendo consoles to the Wii. From children to adults, anyone can enjoy playing sports games, adventure games, highly fun educational games, musical instruments, dancing sessions and fitness games. Sometimes adults consider themselves as children because of playing such video games; hence upon playing Wii products, your early childhood memories would spontaneously be recovered.

There are lots of Nintendo games that are extremely popular all over the world. We can never deny the fact that ‘The Mario Adventure’ has became the king of all videos games for almost all of us during the past decade. The game was available on the very first Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES for short, and editions of the game have evolved as the various console versions have come to the market and it’s still as popular today and available on the Wii. Nintendo has been facing the challenge of topping their best selling games since their early consoles were released and this has meant we’ve seen fruition of many other successful titles available for the Wii.

At present, Wii games are still be developed and every year we see new titles and games becoming chart toppers as the technology and market moves forward. All this spells out exciting times for Nintendo gamers and Nintendo will always stand on the premise on serving the world wide community with cutting edge innovation in their consoles and games.

The National Health Services (NHS) has given an award to Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus system called Change4Life. They are now have the first ever computer game to be consider a health and fitness product. That’s a good thing for gaming and for the sales of the Wii Fit system.

The system comprises the Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit plus game and the Nintendo Balance Board. The package will mean you can monitor your weight and improve on your fitness by exercising. You can even set the game into a competition by competeing with follow users to see who loses the most weight or gets fittest quickest. The great thing is you can do all of this in your living room.

As a result of the media coverage and the NHS award Nintendo have produced a hit and 2009 saw Christmas sales do very well with this game. A cheaper way to get fit compared to the gym, you can choose from upto five training modes and then various levels within each mode. Using the players BMI (Body Mass Index) the Balance Board can work out how many calories you have burnt off by doing the exercise set by the Wii Fit game. Players will have their own fitness plan mapped out for them.

As a part time fitness trainer myself, I can see the potential benefits this could have for people. The main aspect of it is the fact that getting fit and healthy has just become fun again and as it is an indoor activity the weather won’t interrupt play.

Check out this you tube video which demonstrates how the system works.

style="color: black;">With the ever popular growing Wii, 2009 has seen some excellent games. It has spent the best part of 2009 competing with the Playstation 3 and Xbox who have both also had some great games out last year. Here we will take a brief look at the top sellers for the Nintendo Wii.

Wii Sports Resort

This could well be the number 1 game for Nintendo in, Wii Sports Resort features different exciting games like golf, basketball and tennis. The whole game is set on a beach and is the second game in the series. The first was Wii Sports. Other sports to play in this world of fun is wakeboarding, table tennis, bowling, cycling and more.

Super Smash Bros

A game that can be played online. Screen shots can be shared, so can replays. The simple controls mean children can also enjoy this game. The Nunchuck accessory is great for playing this game.

Mario Kart Wii

The Mario Kart for the Wii offers a huge range of course to whizz round. Easy to play and very popular. This game is a great group game and can provide endless hours of entertainment. In this Wii version of the game, Nintendo have added motor bikes and dirt nikes to the game. If I could recommend a game for all people then this would be it.

The Legend of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda offers a more than one game under this title. It is an extremely popular game on the Wii and is probably geared towards the more serious gamer. It has an outstanding puzzle design with excellent graphics. The sound however can feel a bit dated on occasions but then maybe they want to keep this because the original games date back to the mid 90’s.

All in all, Nintendo have had a real belter of a year in the gaming world. We can only assume that 2010 will be bigger and better for the gaming giant.

Nintendo have said they will be cutting the price of the Wii for the first time since it’s release. Does this mean they are feeling the crunch? I doubt it. The cuts are happening in both the USA and Japan. The Wii will be cut by $50 in the US which brings it down to $200. No price cuts for the European market have been announced.

Nintendo may be following suit after both Sony and Microsoft have cut prices on their console back in August of this year. The price drop is in time for christmas, which is the most busiest time for the gaming industry. Traditional console always drop their price after an average 2 year period and this is done to broaden the people able to afford the console thus pushing sales up. Originally when Nintendo launched the Wii, it was $50 cheaper than any of it’s competitors and after this latest decrease, it will regain that position. The newest Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 models currently retail at aroiund the $300 mark.

Cheap second hand Nintendo Wii Console can be found in store. Just check out the Wii Bundle page for the latest offers.

I found an old article from 2007 about the eldery in nursing homes being addicted to the Nintendo Wii. It did make me chuckle.

“Taking it in turns with the hand-held controls, the pensioners go head to head against one another in the various games.”

“Residents, who are aged between 80 and 103, were so enthralled by the games that they demanded that staff purchase one immediately.”

“The games system has proved to be such a success that executives at Sunrise Senior Living are now planning to buy one for each of their 15 residential homes.

If this goes ahead, inter-care home tournaments would take place with teams of elderly residents travelling to other care homes via mini-buses for matches.”

Well this just shows how well Nintendo have done with the Wii. They have captured just about every audience haven’t they?

Not long to wait now! As of November in Europe you will be able to buy the classic Mario for your Wii. Below is taken from the official Nintendo website.

The classic Mario platform game is coming to Wii! For the first time, you can experience an action-packed Mario platformer on Wii with simultaneous multiplayer fun as New Super Mario Bros. Wii launches across Europe on 20 November.

A classic 2D adventure, the game follows the style of New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo DS. Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser and it’s up to Mario to save her, but this time he’s not alone! Up to four players can join in the fun at the same time, playing as Mario, Luigi or either one of the Toads. Of course, you can also play solo and perfect your performance but friends and family will soon want to grab their Wii Remotes and join in the mayhem!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii offers a mix of cooperative and competitive play. Work together to rescue Princess Peach, or use your skills to battle for the best ranking. Co-operate by saving your friends from danger – or get rid of the competition by tossing them straight into it!

The game follows the style of New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo DS with new twists utilising the unique features of Wii. The motion control capabilities of Wii have been cleverly implemented to enhance the gameplay at certain stages. For example, the player can angle a see-saw like platform by tilting the Wii Remote, to reach secret areas or angle the beam of a lamp to see the way in the dark!

New features in the game include the new propeller suit, which, by shaking the Wii Remote, allows your character to fly and hover – great for reaching secret areas. You can also use your suit to help your fellow players, for instance if another player picks you up, you can both fly together! There is a new penguin suit too which enables you to throw ice balls at your enemy and jump onto your stomach and slide with incredible speed across icy sections of a stage. Players can even ride different Yoshis through the crazy and imaginative levels, using their tongues to swallow enemies – or their fellow players!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is also the first Nintendo game to feature a dynamic help system, which allows you to access a mode showing how a level can be completed if you are stuck. The best thing about this mode is that you are free to jump into the action you’re watching on screen at any time!

There really is something for everyone in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Collaborate or compete with your friends and family for the ultimate simultaneous multiplayer Mario fun when the game launches across Europe on Wii on 20 November 2009.

In this breif article I will explain how you might go about backing up your Wii games. The only reason you should be backing up,and making copies of you games are because you want to keep the originals safe incase they get lost and damaged which may make them unreadable to your Wii console and and un playable. I must state that you should not be burning Wii Games to then sell on for profit or ven give away for free. This is breaking the law.

So you want to burn your Wii games but are not sure how to go about it?

First you need to consider the tools for the job. These are pretty basic and the only thing you need to spend any money on is a some kind of software that will decrypt the protection Nintendo have put on all games to prevent piracy. Software such as Easy Backup Wizard (at the time of writting have 50% off – link at the end of the article) will do the job fine and will crack any console game not just games for the Wii. I will assume that you already have a dvd writter and blank discs available to burn the games on to. Therefore the software is your only out lay and really an be seen as more of an investment. (Plus, it will also backup movies.)

So it’s really just a case of loading up the Easy Backup Wizard software, following the instructions which will tell you when to insert your Wii game, followed by the blank dvd to copy it to. The result is a perfect backed up version of your original game. You should now be able to play from your duplicate version and keep the original safe until you need to make a new copy.

From the last 3 months we have found the most popular games for the Nintendo.

Wii Fit

Wii Fit is an game designed to allow users to keep fit and healthy by performing various different activities.

It will let you store up to eight different users at any one time so you can easily make this a group event and each participate in making them selves fitter and healthier.
The activities include Yoga, Balance Games, Muscles Exercises and Aerobic Workouts.

Wii Sports

Wii Sports is one of the most popular games people tend to buy in a Wii Bundle. It is very entertaining and involves multi player interactivity to create a great atmosphere. There has just been a newer version of this game released called Wii Sports Resorts and allows the user to play in different settings and in different locations whilst doing a new array of sports. Another fitness game which proves so popular and a real hit for Nintendo. The Wii Remote is used to control your Mii character and make the moves required to complete the stages through out the game. With the newer game a new device has been developed called the Motion Plus. This small plug-in for the Wii Remote makes the game even more interactive by making every movement the player does even more sensitive to reactions.

Mario Kart

A massive game which is so much fun when you play online in comps against others from around the world. That is the power of this technology which is so exciting and entertaining. Mario Kart has been around for some time and was released in it’s original state on the Super Nintendo (SNES). The game has been upgraded since then and with new courses and characters is one of the most popular Nintendo games, period.

Wii Play

Wii Play is a simple game which provides the gamer with 9 different games in one. It gives you a introduction to the Wii Remote and reminds me of the days we had Duck hunt on the original Nintendo. Maybe thats where the inspiration came from? Another game which you can play for hours on end and great for playing among friends using the 2 player option. When you buy the game brand new you will get a free Wii Remote with it.
